Day 7 - dancer Thoughts: -I don't usually wear socks while doing yoga, but it's cold! -This pose is difficult to do while holding a baby. -I used to be so much better at this one 😩 -I'm really tired of feeling icky and not fitting into my clothes the way I used to. Let’s talk abs! Many of you ask how long it took me to get shredded abs and my answer is this. Although these pictures are years apart... If I stay consistent working abs 3 days a week, eating clean in about 4 weeks I see a huge difference in my belly fat and abs start to really pop. This may not be the case for everyone. For others it may take longer depending on where you start from. The middle picture is before I had my son and before I started competing. This was strictly eating healthy and working out about 4 days a week, NO SUPPLEMENTS. I usually have light to moderate definition in my abs year round but I definitely don’t walk around with shredded abs daily. Why? Because my eating habits and workout regime changes. You can keep a nice set of abs or flat tummy if you stay consistent and make it a lifestyle change. You will more than likely only see my abs as shredded as the last picture when I’m preparing to compete where I’m not only doing more ab workouts but also on a more strict eating plan and sometimes adding supplements like fat burners... When I lost my job last year, we made the decision I’d become a stay-at-home mom rather than look for another job. I’d finally have time to run daily. I could workout whenever I wanted.
