Here’s a little master dresser area before and after for you! As is the case with just about everything in this house, this is just version one of this space. “It can’t all happen at once” is my mantra, and that includes redoing the dresser. Maybe it’ll work just the way it is for a while, right? Swipe to see the dresser wall before. Some details on things pictured, if you’re curious: the mirror is something I snagged at a thrift store for what I think was $15. I sanded it, painted it, and then added a poly layer. The thing holding the photos is an iron piece that came from a thrift store as well, for about 50 cents. No idea what it’s supposed to be for, but I decided some photos would be nice. I attached them with mini clothespins. The teal frame (also from a thrift store, like most things in my life) holds a drawing on paper towel a dear friend made of Ben and me when we first started dating. The mask is something one of my very best friends brought home from Mexico for me when we were in high school - long before I knew I’d go on to marry a Mexican. I also found the big lighting case now holding cypress branches at a thrift store for about $5. Look closely and you’ll see a footprint from a baby Ever as well as a framed art postcard I snagged from my old art/writing space in Brooklyn. My jewelry is there to the left, downsized enormously from what it once was. Oh yeah! And the dresser was from a thrift store too ($40), duh.
