#motivationmonday In 1990 I partially tore my ACL by jumping high for a pass in a football game, which led to my 1st knee surgery. In 1991 after landing in the long jump pit with high impact I tore my ACL completely, which led to ACL Reconstruction knee surgery. In 1992 I after hurdling and more jumping I had to have my 3rd surgery, another scope. In 1993 I had my 4th and last surgery for a meniscus tear. After each surgery I rehabbed my butt off to get stronger. 24 years later I still run, jump, lift and compete hard. This past weekend I ran 39inch 60M hurdle race, competed in High jump, and played 6 basketball games. NOTHING will stop me from competing, taking care of my body and having fun. One main key to it all is self rehab, stretching, icing and hot Epsom salt baths. Many people have NO excuses from being more active. If I can continue to compete after all that you can as well. 1000 likes. Just because this post is so abnormal that it deserves it. Because it is normal for people to have suboptimal tendencies, does not make it ok. The word normal doesn't really help us describe what's going to give us a higher probability of longevity and quality of life. If you think living to 80 years old pumped full of meds is optimal because it is normal, we aren't seeing the same thing. We should be responsible with our word choices. Un altro passo verso il nostro progetto di avere la stampante 3D (e di saperla anche usare!) oggi è stato fatto!!! È stato un piacere conoscere @opendot persone squisite ed estremamente competenti!!! When you are treating gluteus medius you have to keep in mind how important it is for hip stability and function. Often this muscle has a lot of trigger points and my preference is starting acupuncture when treating this muscle. As always I follow with adjustments Active Release, Graston and exercises.
